You can search for books by Title, by Author's name and by the ISBN number of the book. When you search for books, Reader Safari searches in two places—
the list of books put up by members for exchange; and
Reader Safari's own master database of books.
Reader Safari then displays the search results in two tabs—the Search Results tab and the Wishlist Results tab.
The Search Results tab: This tab shows the books found in the list of books put up by members for exchange. You can make requests for books from this tab.
Note: You can make requests only if you are
logged in when you search for the books.
The Wishlist Results tab: This tab shows the books found in Reader Safari's master database.
You can add books from this tab to your Wishlist.
Note: The Wishlist Results tab appears only if you are
logged in when you search for the books.
To search for books:
1.
Log in to Reader Safari.
2. Click
Search in the navigation menu.
The
Reader Safari Search form will be displayed on the screen.
3. Type the title, author name or ISBN Number of the book you are searching for. (
View More Details...)
4. Click the
Search button.
Reader Safari will look for the books and display the results.
If Reader Safari finds any books that match your search criteria in the members lists of books for exchange, it will display those books in the
Search Results tab (as shown in the screenshot above).
5. If the book you want is displayed in the
Search Results tab, click the Add to Cart button to add the book to your Cart and
send out a request for the book.
Note: The
Add to Cart button will be displayed only if you have logged in to Reader Safari.
6. If the book is not there in the
Search Results tab, click the
Wishlist Results tab.
Note: The
Wishlist Results tab will be displayed only if you have logged in to Reader Safari.
The
Wishlist Results tab lists those books that were found in Reader Safari's master database.
If the book you want is displayed in the
Wishlist Results tab, click the
Add to Wishlist button to add the book to your Cart and
send out a request for the book.
If you cannot find the book in either of the tabs, you can use these
tips to refine your search.
Note: If Reader Safari finds many books that match your search criteria, it will display the results on multiple pages.
If there are multiple pages of results, you will see a list of numbers at the bottom of the results screen.
Click on one of these numbers to jump to that page of results. For example, click on 4 to jump to the fourth page of results.
If there are more than 10 pages, click on the ellipsis (...), to view the next set of 10 pages.
